For me the patch runs good. Everything fine but i exoerience 1 major gamebreaking issue now. Sound starts to stutter and disapperar seemingly every single flight after a while.
Anyone a clus how to fix that? I have a Soundblaster XFI titanium. Tahnks! Winger |

Have some try to set the sound to 16bit 96000HZ in sound card setup and Uncoded in Audio settings in game..

I tested this update as previous; running the Black Death track as recommended to obtain frame rates, then free flying over Dover and London and observing average frame rates. The BD track definitely has additional detail to what it had previously, and is ‘de-magnified’ to produce a more wide-angled view. For this reason results are not comparable to those obtained prior to the update, as the amount of detail being rendered is currently greater.
Settings, processor and gpu usage are as shown in the attached images, driver version 11.5, CCC settings at default, cpu and graphics clocks at default, VSYNC off for the benchmark and on for the free flight, frame rates measured using the in-game display, second run results shown: 14413 (avg, max, min): 37, 81, 14 14550: (avg, max, min): 29, 70, 10 Flying over Dover at 1000 feet the frame rate varies around 42 – 45 fps, dropping to 35 at roof-top height (previously closer to 50 and 40 fps respectively). Although it is a bit slower than previous, it seems a lot more fluid, and the frame rate doesn’t drop as much when looking at the burning fuel depot. Over London at 2000 feet the frame rate is around 37 (previously 45), and at roof-top height around 32 (previously 36), but again seems smoother than before with less variation. IMO it seems as if the graphics pipeline has been optimised further, which is currently allowing more detail to be rendered than previous, which is also resulting in a lower frame rate, but is more consistent. Cpu loading is a bit greater on one of the cores (previous ~75%, now ~80%), although the rest seem the same. Gpu load was 100% (both screen shots are after completing the BD track). I haven’t had the time to do any further testing, but assume that I probably need to tinker with the settings again to find a nice balance between frame rate and appearance. And those bloody blue lines … meh!

Great patch!
The fps is even better now, and I really like the color tweak! I get 68 fps average on the Black Death track with everything on high which is almost exactly as before the patch - but it feels more fluid anyway. Especially the part where all the bombs go off and the Hurricanes are ripped to pieces. Before it went down to 20-25 fps in that part but now it's running at 45 fps on the worst part of that sequence. My score: Min, Max, Avg 21, 158, 68.205 A comment looking at you score above is that the Black Death track seems very dependent on CPU (as the rest of the game). With the same GPU (GTX580) on my old Core 2 Duo (E8400@3.3Ghz) rig I had this score (14413 patch though!): Min, Max, Avg 15, 78, 37.120 It's more obvious that something good has been done flying the sight seeing mission over London. I get 70-80 fps a bit up and 50 while skimming the roofs. Hard to complain about that... Before the patch I had more in the 30-35 fps region when skimming the roofs from inside the cockpit. All on high. It also feels like CEM is a bit more forgiving which I appreciate. You can overboost the Spit for quite a while before you perforate the cooler. Before it was a matter of a second or two. A lot of small details are also fixed like the bombs not bouncing on the Black Death track etc...

After a short test I can say that the game looks and feels better for me.
Got a little fps improvement, Black Death: Avg from 41 to 43. Only the Bf-109 prop pitch bug is annoying, wich was already mentioned here. So I hope for a quick fix. I love this sim! ![]() |

i have this smoke bug though. big balls of puffy smoke. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/55...4B0E5F7FDCC5D/ since the above bug, ive changed a few nvidia settings, fully application controlled regards AA. and texture flitering quality to high quality. im seeing mega fps. 60+ over land (not london). seems the sim is settling down nicely on my system now. and well ive never seen anything better. but thats for another thread.
