I see lots of posts across the CoD forums using the term "patches".
A patch is an official, non-beta release. Since CoD was released in Russia and Europe there has been only 1, official patch that was delivered over steam. There have been 5 beta versions released - 1 for the RU version and 4 since the English version was released. The beta versions are intended for community testing, and in some sim communities this situation works pretty well. No small developer can have all examples of O/S's - video cards and CPU's - therefore it usually benefits progress to release in this manner. So, there's only been 1 patch since release - the rest have been beta's. S! Gunny
