Mostly, I agree with you, however there are times when it's better not to butt in. Anyway, I really like this system, Kill stealing has always been a problem in flight sims, and now we have a fair solution. One thing that might be useful: In RoF we have a "Finish landed only" option, so that a damaged foe cannot hit escape and disappear from your sights until he touches the ground one way or the other.
