I know your team mates pain but you can easily change your name back and forth.
The only thing that could be done would be for the developers to add a separate registration, like ROF this means that you would have to sign in once the game has started but you would not have to change your name constantly. Either that or he helps the cause of COD and sets up another account and then buys COD on that
