It was done to make it run faster on low end PCs as too many people were complaining on this forum.
To turn up the quality: In video settings put Texture quality on Standard (it is the highest original setting) and Houses detail to High. Make sure you run at least medium landscape shadows. Increase anisotropic filtering quality and texture filtering in your driver settings. Turn up mip-map detail level in video drivers. You may also set visibilitydistance=4 in conf.ini iirc. And SSAO in game settings. Last edited by Ataros; 04-18-2011 at 09:47 PM. |

![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us These are the settings I use but still no luck.No matter what settings I use buildings still look like 2D paited roofs on the ground untill the jump out in front of me. visibilitydistance does nothing,I tried 0-4 but can't notice any difference |

This is the trade-off for having the Buildings Amount setting on low. If you put the setting higher (I have mine on the highest setting) you will see less pop-in as the game will render the buildings earlier.

Use the "Original" texture setting with SSAO off
and it should be ok for good frame rates. If not do an integrity check with Shteam on the files for your newly patched CoD Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 04-19-2011 at 03:14 PM. |
