Just fired up the PC, Steam has updated CoD to 1.00.14101. Game seems more fluid, no stutters (Bomber intercept on sea).

Cheers,
Insuber

Patch removed 'disable desktop composition' checkbox from launcher.exe for me, had to re-enable to remove stutters again.

Thank you very much for the patch. It improved considerably the performance and also some bugging bugs were removed. And NO stutterings any more. Great great work!!!

Unfortunately also a good deal of immersion gone with the wind:

No Merlin coughs any more when pushing. Please bring it back (I am a Spit driver usually so no blue whining here). Now it is arcade IL2 cut outs like in old Hurricane of old IL2.
The needles are too steady and feel arcadish. Please bring bouncing needles back - even toned down if necessary.
No g-load impact on head position: I seem to be no longer pushed into the seat. The revi stays where it is.
Where have the immersive cockpit vibrations gone?

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T tone this great sim down to make it an arcade game. There are too many arcade flying games out there but let us simmers have a good sim.

For whatever reason fps took a nosedive, the beta was much better but this "official patch" was a step backwards on my system

Not for me.

Much better performance than beta from friday!

Furthermore it is hard to say, whats the reason, because i don´t see your system specs.

I'm running a dual core processor, so take my comments with that in mind. (I know the patch works better with quad cores.)

I left SSAO off, but left textures at 'original' setting. Otherwise, settings were unchanged. (A combination of high and medium settings.)

Performance over general terrian is as good or better than with the mod installed, but once I fly over industrial areas, the frames drop from 35+ to about 8. Yikes!

Performance over London is worse too I'm afraid, at least in my case.

Regarding the rendering of buildings - I always hated the pop-up of the buildings before, and I much prefer the fact that buildings no longer do so. The 'lego' look I can tolerate, even if at low altitudes it looks quite ugly.
Higher up though, one doesn't notice the lack of visual aesthetics too much.

I'll test some more and see how things go. My biggest concern at this point is the jarring drop in framerates in industrial areas.

Sadly I think the time is finally up for my poor old dual core. But I've had 4 years of good service out of it so I can't complain.

the last official patch with nossao and lowtex mods gave me double the framerate of what it is now with steampatch101. Sadly, nossao mod and lowtex mods doesn't seem to work anymore. What have you done?

anyway: applause for the improved serversearch.

I have had much time to play and it’s better but not great. Graphics are wonderful to behold but…

-Getting micro stutters on a regular basis

-Shadows around scenery vibrates

-Many, many features don’t work, i.e. trim wheels won’t turn inside many aircraft

-Loosen straps motion seems buggy

-Exterior sounds are poor…are they placeholders?

-Interior sounds are boring; everything is a click…no undercarriage sound, no wind when cockpit opens during flight, etc.

-Make controls similar to IL2 and many problems will be solved.

Do you have them running from the GUI? Are you sure? I should really not be much different from the Beta. And with this. you should not be using Kegetys mods
