I saw Oleg say in an interview that 'Cliffs of Dover' could have about a thousand planes in the air at one time. So I thought, mmm, I wonder what that looks like...
And it actually runs???
Best proof i've seen sofar that CoD does deliver!
What are your specs?
Thanks!

I don't think it runs in regular game mode. He probably slowed it down 8 or 16 times and recorded it. Played it back accelerated and recorded it again. Still very impressive and a sign of what we can do with future hardware.

Nothing to do with hardware - its to do with programming.

Okay, if you chaps don't mind sitting through another 2-minutes of footage, this is the video I should have posted of the P-51 battle. I have no idea why I uploaded the wrong file....just a Senior moment I guess?

Anyway, the correct file can be seen here, this is what I have done with it;

"I've created this short video to show-off the Wing of Prey Software engine.

After editing the footage, the first think I did was change the Colour-Balance to add a more Blue tint to the film at altitude, taking away the 'too-Green' that is present in the normal Software. At lower altitude I have just slightly de-saturated the footage to 'calm' the Green down a little. I have added Slow-Motion effects (at the start when Flak goes off), also lens-flare onto the metal aircraft surface, crash-zoom effect, throwing the camera out-of focus, blast-effect as the FW-190 crashes into the trees and finally fade to old-film and Black and White.

This was meant to have been the original post, cheers, MP"

The new video can be seen here:

Cheers, MP.

A pair more...

Just before patching:

Workload is constant in Bf-110 cockpit, even when extending to dive again into the Wellingtons, temperatures and parameters are cheched... 2 engines, double workload

And just after 1.00.14072 patching, with the usual test around here, flying in London with the Tiger Moth:

I've raised graphic settings, now buildings are unlimited, trees set to medium, and grass activated.
Less fps, but much more stable and perfectly flyable, 5 fps better when I'm not recording, of course
It is spectacular the realistic effecto of the shadow of the plane at the end of the video, when flying over Buckingham palace!

Opitz, are you a WoP fan? That would explain a lot.

You really think this game is IL2? Really? It seems pretty obvious from watching video that it's nothing of the sort.

In any case, you don't like CoD. You don't like IL2. You don't like WoP. Which WW2 flight sim would you recommend that I buy?

Interesting. So, you don't like IL-2, but you think I should buy it. You don't like CoD because it's just like IL-2, but you don't think I should buy CoD.

Can you think of a reason why anything you say should be taken seriously?
