a ww11 a/c or any a/c for that matter so i have no idea how the looked in RL.

oh simple, because:

1) it is ANNOYING.
2) it is ANNOYING.
3) it gives no fruitful information, but just moves back down more important topics than this senseless whine.
4) uh have I mentioned that it is ANNOYING?
