I'm running a 4 yr old rig, with a 2 yr old GPU. Specs is Q6600@2.4, 4GB Ram, and a 1GB 4870 @790/1020.

Playing the game on mid settings at:

2xAA
1680x1050
High Model Detail
High Textures
Low Building Detail
No grass
High Shadows
High Effects

Makes for a a pretty smooth gameplay experience. There is stutter at times though. Anyway it's a good game that will only get better.

Can't wait for cannon equipped Spits, FW190s, and the pacific theatre.
