CoD won't fully start up

Beta patch did not fix this for me.
In fact, instead of getting the screen with sky/black, where I can change time compression, now the little crosshair with the plane appears, instantly disappears, and nothing happens.
Much worse.

still no developer word? how many people still have this?
This is rediculous, more than a week now and I can't even open a game I have bought :\
A simple "we know it exists, haven't fixed it yet!" will suffice!

Weird if it doesn't work for some... I'd wait for Steam to update your game (to make sure the patch is properly installed) and see if it works.
