could you tell us your machine spec pls?
if windows 7/vista did you run steam as admin for the first time to allow the update to COD to be successful? If not and you seen a fail it's possible the game didn't update properly. I'd de-install/reinstall. Graphics card! possible driver issue, what kind of crd u got and when did u last update the drivers? direct x up-to-date?
