It was one of the reasons the epilepsy filter was introduced in the first place.
And in real life the propeller isn't visible from the cockpit. If you have doubts, look at a small running electric fan with your eyes and then at/through the screen of your digital camera. You clearly see the effect on the camera, but not with your own eyes.
