Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!

Such good news. Way to go guys. Its good to hear that Ubi is supporting the
effort to make this game a success. All the speculation was getting heated and
nearly outta control.

I have a simple question... (maybe a silly one for those who know)

When we install from DVD - the filter will be there right? But Steam will auto update
immediately after install with a filter "Switch" so we can choose to have it on or off?

Is that how it will work? Please can someone tell me if this is how it will work.
Thanks.

That's how I read what Ilya said.

Thanks BADAIM, I just had a moment there.

Luthier was right about the little dance, I had one a minute ago, felt good.
I feel like I just won a car in the county raffle.

I am sure the community is breathing a collective sigh of relief.

Iam buying a new quad core CPU tomorrow. Hopefully will be enough
to run COD smoothly. The new GPU will have to wait another month.
Yay!

Luthier, I am very glad to see sanity and common sense has prevailed. I have no doubt this epilepsy filter caused you guys plenty of grief even before CoD hit the Russian streets.
So, and I am sure I speak on behalf of all of those who have been involved in IL2 for the past (up to 10 years), many thanks for persevering in what must have been "the mother of all battles" to get this aberration made selectable - bloody well done old chap as they used to say in the RAF.
This thread should be a sticky under the heading "Western Version Epilepsy Selectable Solution"

Woot! Thanks Luthier!

I personally think the anger generated on the forums helped to convince Ubi to consider alternatives

awesome possum news 1C, thanks for your hard work in this matter.

Now it seems the many out weigh the few.
