I agree, and its even more hilarious to see Tree and his fellowship ranting the forums to get their 50$ "worth" something in their eyes.
Some folks do need a reality check.

This is really close to the post I've been thinking about. Thanks for stepping out, mate.

I'll only add that as far as getting your money's worth, look at what you get for $50 from a FPS; if your lucky 10-15 hrs of gameplay. Let's be real here, the couple hundred bucks I've spent on the various versions of IL2 over the years have netted be many thousands of hours of gameplay, the thousands of dollars I've spent on other games in that same period of time have netted me hundreds of hours of gameplay! You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that math out.

Cut Maddox games some slack for crying out loud, God knows they've earned it.

Well said, Strike. This forum has degenerated into a monsterous whine-fest, and it does little credit to the contributors. Can I suggest that from now on, if people can't say something constructive, they say nothing at all? Yes, there are reasons to be disappointed about the current situation, but this is being worked on, and acting like a bunch of four-year-olds won't make anything happen quicker.

I think it's great that people are announcing that they're not going to buy this game. It's the sort of thing that I really care about, and I can't get enough of it. In fact, I enjoy it so much that this morning I went to the local food store and yelled through the door that I'm not buying any food there for a few weeks. Good times...

Not at all. I opened the door and yelled "Your store is not up to the high standards that I demand! I'm not buying anything here, even though you're the only store selling the food I like, until the food here is better, or I get really hungry!"

Then I left. I'm counting on the dude in the parking lot with the "I told you so!" sign to let me know when it's ok to get my food there.

I've been waiting for this sim for eight years with high expectations. There are a few aspects of the sim I'm not completely happy with, but I'm not venting, because I'm old enough to know that shyte happens.

I'm also aware that what you see now will be constantly improved over the next many years. I would much rather play the game now with its warts than wait another year while the issues are fixed.

The developers are well aware of the problems and don't need us shoving them in their face endlessly. The developers are also fans of the genre just like us, and I'm not aware of anyone else taking there place anytime soon.

You have to look at the big picture with a little long sighted view. If you can't do that maybe you can get a few other experts to join you in a new development team. I assure you after a few years you will gain alot more respect for what Olegs team has accomplished over the last ten years.

The forums have become very negative advertising for COD. This could hurt UBISOFT's profit margin alittle, force Maddox Games to change directions into genre's that make more money with less work, and dry up WW2 Air Combat simulators for years.

There's no point in complaining about potentially modified graphics, or sounds, or any other bloody thing since, well, beggars can't be choosers. As far as modern WWII sims go this is the only one in the world (don't anyone dare mention Wings of Prey). If we don't support this game and give it every possible chance, that's it. We might have to wait a decade before anybody cares enough to even try making another decent sim.

I cannot believe the incredible sense of entitlement on these forums. All these complainers talking about cancelling orders are cutting off their nose to spite their face. It's like starving yourself to death during a food shortage because the stores can't get in your favourite brand of pickles.

The long (hugely) wait for CoD, and the fantastic previews, has created a great expectation... So why then you are surprised for comments of disappointed customers? the simple truth is, we buy the game (original) and we demand it can work fine, all the rest are only craps.

But don't worry, I'm sure the purpose of all this mess is to make pressure mainly on UBI, and the simple fact that so many has posted in this forum, should give you a clear picture of how much interest there is for the game.
