That's not the real problem. The real problem is that on the one hand we have the hardcore predictors of the sim-apocalypse stating unequivocally and simultaneously that the game will look like arse-biscuits AND not run on any computer ever...and on the other we have those who think that ANY criticism is unacceptable because the game is made by the mighty god hand of our blessed infallible deity Olegus Christ. Gets a bit difficult to post ANYTHING with that kind of combination of posters online.

LOL! Spot on! It's nice to see that there are people with a mind outside of the banana forum.

Just need to tell u that im not one of those who think Oleg is infallible There are plenty of stuff i dont "like". I just dont think those things are important enough to point out over and over agin. I try to look at the Big picture, what "we" will be able to work with from now on.

Yeah, I know what you mean, i.e., the colours, clouds, landscape, etc. issues that we *know* the team are aware that we are concerned about get very tiresome when repeated over and over. I think often the problem is that it's hard for people to contact Oleg and the team without using the update threads, and often legitimate concerns get buried in a pile of useless dribble and arguments almost immediately and so they're never noticed. I try not to post in update threads any more for that reason. A perfect example is BOBC's and Rodolphe's threads, which are purely about constructive criticism of small details in the game...dev team don't have time to read outside the update threads, but every time these details are brought up in an update thread they immediately get buried by Oleg's almost religiously over-defensive followers going out of their heads because someone DARES to point out a small error.

Nice video.
Unfortunately, that's a bit long for an afdvertising trailer.
But hey, maybe we'll get this kind of vids after the release.

+1

Problem is also a lack of communication, if people dont get heard they feel the need to yell louder, if they still get no reaction they grab a microphone and speakers. If they still get no reply they leave the forum.

Unfortuently we have had very little feedback/info/contact, if I would criticise anything it is that. Because that contact is necessary. Often people just want to be heard and know that their comment has been seen. I think alot of tension stems from the lack of acknowledgment.

I will concur with that. Two much picking sides going on and it's drowning out a lot of useful discussion.
