Having said that, some maps I find very difficult to spot low flying ac but the essential skill in SIM is too see the enemy before they see you so best to go with what you feel works best for you. On Xbox we tend to have the same set of regular SIM flyers and I think most of us can recognise who is flying a particular ac simply by the way they fly.
Yes that is true, like when I see a friendly plane attacking me by accident I know that that plane is Panzergranate's and when I see a Hurricane about crunch into a tree or parked in a certain spot in CTA berlin I know that that is Bucketman.

Hahaha, panzer and his friendly fire!! Epic. Many a time have i seen his tracers fly by my cockpit. Makes for some erm... friendly banter

New guy sent me a FR on XBL today, wanting to fly IL2 online. Will send him your way. He's an Aussie.

so far my main complaint about sim is that the standard tactic seems to be pick a map with dark colored ground features then fly 6 inches off the ground for entire game so no one can see you and when you do get hit you ussually crash lol but it is fun

4.5 inches mav. And a cannon - makes you respawn.
Sometimes you pic the epic fights. Sure it's fun...
