If I compare taking off from a Carrier in 4.10 then repeat in 4.09 I get the opposite - 4.10 = slower, poor rate of climb and acceleration in level flight. But you are right in that setting up various scenarios in QMB shows the Seafire to be better than the F4 other than I can throw the latter about the sky without due care and consideration to the possibility of stalling.......
