The "bells and whistles" won't even all be turned on. I have no doubt there isn't a PC available that would be "more than enough", particularly if you like 3 screens and 3D.

Once Bulldozer comes out, Sandy bridge prices will drop like a stone.

Its been along time since high end PCs haven't been a rip off through lack of competition.
I'll be saving my pingers till then.

Simon, the game is indeed extremely scalable. For the past six months all we've been doing is scaling it back. Basically we had built a 2013 game and had to pull it back into the present. Growth in the next couple of years will be very easy. We'll just flick a bunch of switches back on - Ilya Shevchenko

All this is speculation - at best. Once Bulldozer really comes out we will see. Already the latest i7's and i5's are over 30% faster clock per clock than their predecessors. Bulldozer has the time until IveyBridge comes out. If that graph above is true at all.

And if we're to judge on nVidia's dominance on the GPU market today I don't hold my hopes high. It is like they switched roles from last year. Now AMD runs super hot and is lagging behind.

In any case, if AMD really manages to pull this one off, mind you this is their first new architecture from 2003, no on would be more happier than me.

I'm ok with my single 27" without any 3d stuff and I'm hoping it'll run pretty smoothly or all the talk about optimization has been just smoke and mirrors.

Sandy's are pretty affordable compared to the previous pricing. For example the 2500k is about 200$ which is a steal if you ask me. Haven't seen any schedules for bulldozer except 2011 and I ain't waiting any more. There is always the next big thing just around the corner, isn't it?
