thanks for the video.

finally understood the prop pitch thingy.

Im not widhing for that ammount of detail for COD, but i wish for some of it to be there, specially for planes with fixed and 2-thingy pitch to be penalized in performance when comapred to constant RPM units.

cheers

actual almost all, IF not all , Spitfire Mk.I and Hurricane Mk.I had CSP units during the BoB......
it was no invitation of the Mk.II

and i guess in CoD there will be more than CSP in game - in the Moskau Gameshowvidoes where 3 Mk.I Spitfires (and as Mk.II)and 2 Hurricane Mk.I as flyable available

after that vidoe now try to guess the workload of a Bf109 pilot when he had only a manual pitch propeller - he had to be his own "governour"

That's nice. Looks like a simulation were you actually have to fly the plane
Some IL2 player will be shocked when realising that there is more then stick back, full throttle and fire!

I'm very optomistic that the fm will be a giant leap ahead of il2 and will change the way we all fly.

I'll be very happy to spend many hours relearning how to fly properly and am sure I'll be mown of of the sky frequently in the process

If the new engine model is anything like what we see in the video, not even CSP propellers are going to save us the first few times and to be honest, i'm really looking forward to "dying" in a variety of new ways but also exploiting the same thing against the opposition.

Imagine you're flying online and you hear "break right" on the radio", you look back to your 5 o'clock and see an enemy aircraft on a dive towards you with its guns blazing.
The usual fighter combat tactic of turning into the attack (by now a mere instinctive reaction after so many years of flight simming) is triggered, you slam the throttle forward and execute your break turn and then...what's that "whaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" noise?
The governor can't keep up with the sudden increase in power, you reach 4000 RPM and break the prop governor. You end up with a runaway prop, the engine is fried and the other guy just got a kill without firing a single shot...he just gives you a small burst so the game can register the kill, waves his wings at you and zooms back up into the blue.

It's going to be awesome

What is this A2A simulation game????! I WANT THAT GAME. Imagine if prop. pitch will be simulated for the red planes in il2... or imagine if prop pitch like this comes in Cliffs of Dover!!! This could be awesome

Hmmm! Not one to nit pick, but when they change the propellors (around 8:40) shouldn't the oleo's react when your adding and removing ~260 odd pounds on the nose?

Cheers!
