I had no idea this was coming out until I spotted the demo download in the PSN store last night. I've always wanted a decent helicopter game (I'm another who favours rotors over fixed wing
), so I did a bit of Google research whilst the demo was downloading and couldn't believe my luck when I saw it was developed by the same team behind IL-2!
I played it for about an hour last night and loved it. I thought there were one or two
very minor flaws with the physics (I was playing on realistic) and a bit more of help with the controls would have been useful (e.g. using the satellite view) but otherwise its great and a definate purchase for me.
Highlight of the demo for me was realising that, not only could you switch to the gunners position on the fly, but the TADS includes a FLIR mode as well. Brilliant!
