This has happened to me three times, all in the combat with the 2nd caretaker - after I had purchased shamans.

This *might* be related since it's about totems - when I tried to drop a totem of adrenaline I was getting the message that you can't put one down due to the requirement of having a dead body. I didn't know that (new spell for me) so I chose another spell.

But, if I choose another spell my cursor just hangs and I can't cast the spell (but the game doesn't freeze). Pressing escape lets me close the spell book and then proceed to cast spells normally.

I don't remember when my first crash happened, but I do remember on my second and third try my ogre had just moved and then my shaman went next. On the second crash I saw the error and didn't think to push Ignore. On the third crash when I pushed alt+tab I got no error message and the game appeared completely closed. I had almost won, too, after 25 minutes of difficult battle! Noooo!

Then, when I went to restart KBCW, it said it was already running, even though I cannot see it. I am submitting the error report utility now!

Same problem here, every fight with Shamans. I just alt-tab press "Ignore" and go back to playing...

But it's annoying.

Agree, annoying and puts you off having shamans in your army. Shame.

Just happened to me:
Was playing a game; around level 13 in veronia - warrior impossible. Was fighting orcs - the orc that gets double attack (level 4) hit my group of spawned plants and kill the entire stack; all the orcs started to show green aura around them and the error "Label not found: add_blog_shaman_trophy_spent_2" popped up.

This is the steam version downloaded on day of release; yesterday a 1meg install occurred which I assumed is the hot fix. Vaguely I think this bug has been reported before but I though the hot fix was suppose to fix it.

Os is win xp 32 bit sp 3

I've also had this happen with the shaman orc hero in front of the orc treasury (i believe thats on rusty anchor) and in another fight which i cant remember. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the number it said with me was trophy 4 (but not 100% sure on that).

I was able to solve this problem with a (possibly temporary?) fix. You need to open the orcs.kfs file with winrar or some similar program, then find the file "eng_orcs_rage.lng" and open it with notepad etc. Add the following 2 lines somewhere in the file (I added them down by the blood_shaman lines):

add_blog_shaman_trophy_spent_1=^blog_td0^[name] blah blah blah
add_blog_shaman_trophy_spent_2=^blog_td0^[name] blah blah blah

You could change "[name] blah blah blah" to anything and it should still work. I just had no idea what text is supposed to go there.

I hope this bug is quickly fixed by the dev team but this will work in the meantime. The bug is caused by standard Shaman (not blood shaman or goblin shaman) and seems to occur when they gain access to one of their abilities - can't pinpoint it for sure, but it tends to happen on their 3rd or 4th turn, and very reproduceable.
