I'm with Puma on this one. I built a computer in December of 2006 to play SoW. We had just gotten the developement disk with 1946. I thought it was right around the corner. Now I just enjoy the developement updates. I take them for what they are. Work in progress. Oleg and his team gave us 10 years of fun with Il2. No reason to suspect SoW is going to be any different.
When it comes out I'll wait another 6 months and built the fastest computer I can afford. The problem with the delays is that the folks without a life start to fantasize about what it's going to look like. Then it's not precisely what they had in mind and they get upset. Oleg's the chef and whatever he serves up is what we're going to get. If that means I'll be chasing me109's flown by midgets or 110's with rudder trimtabs that are to big, so be it. Knowing Oleg's work methods he'll fix it eventually. No need to risk going bankrupt over such things. One thing I have to give to the nit pickers. I personally have learned quit a bit from their postings. I thought I knew all there was to know about WWII aircraft. Now I know that there was a Hurricane with a Spitfire spinner and an export version of the do17 with inline engines,(215B series) used as a recon aircraft and bomber. The learning continues.
