So, about that patch... I have to use a public computer to hop on the internet, cannot hook my laptop up. I need to know where I can download the patch offline, otherwise I apparently can't play it. It just crashes every time after the intro movies.

If it crashes right after the intro movies, this patch won't help you i think. Update your video drivers, maybe this will help. What is the video card in your laptop?

It's a Gateway nv5925u with i5-430m and Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1gb. I've got the latest Catalyst 10.6, all other drivers are completely up to date.
Basically what happens is I get a memory address error. I've tried deleting the profiles folder (to see if maybe a bad setting), but no dice. The weird thing, though, is that when I start the game again (after it creates another profile folder), it won't even load the intro movies, it I get a screen that is mostly black with some blue in the corners, the error pops up, I click ok on the error and then it pops up again, ad infinitum. I have to ctrl-alt-del and end the process in my task manager in order to recover. |

Perhaps is only a driver, can you post your dxdiag file?
