Are you freakin' serious? Oleg, the game looks phenomenal. I can't believe some the absolutely far reaching questions that are being asked. Someone also just asked about the smoke trail being too thick in of the other photos. Look, I'm a tactical military aviator, and I can assure you, when gas, oil, and other lube products with the chemical properties of steel and other alloys meet flame, the fire is unbelievably intense. The smoke just as much. I suggest really if you have input, walk your asses over to the studios and start to programming. Oleg, nothing but praise from me. I've been a devoted fan to your simulation from the beginning. Doing great work, can't wait for this.

I'm too lazy to tell you that the specs haven't been released yet.

you'll be pretty safe with a quad core (presuming BoB will be released in the next few months, which by all indications he is on track for). oleg previously stated dual and quad cores will be recognized by his new engine, so the game will be able to use them

all i5 and i7 quad cores are high end processors, one from either range should do you fine on BoB release (since oleg is unlikely to make the mistake microsoft made with flightsim X, which at release was pretty much unplayable even on any high end machine, mostly because of very inefficient coding)

if you can afford an i7 quad core and already have one, that usually this means you can afford a CURRENT high end gfx card (like an ati 5870 for ex). if your gfx card is a year or more old, that might be your weak spot.

as a flightsim BoB will be both cpu and gpu intensive, but performance on higher end pc's will mostly depend on your display resolution. either way, try and avoid doing upgrades till it is released so you know exactly what olegs recommended specs are and some reviews are done to compare performance on various systems.

I've got everything accept the cpu and video card. I've got an Asus P6T deluxe MB and will probably get a 5970 and a i7 975

Honestly, I'm not even sure BOB will be released this year, if at all.

OM mentioned some financial issues - Now keeping this in mind and looking at the pics he presented, focused on the ground items, I'd guess he going to sell the engine rather than put even more money into the game.
Doesn't mean he or s.o. will not finish the game, it's just going to happen a little later.
After all, this is still a business.

Of course this are just my (conspiracy-)$.02
