I reached 3 bomb runs on the Cathedral before, I belive it was Scotty, downed me. On my return to Manston, the mean Internet Gods decided to **** with my connection again

I will be up for the next run to avange my disconnection......

Great bombrun guys! That was really fun.

Sad u was disconnected Kav. We lost LargeElk too before we landed at Manston, but all in all it was a really succesfull attack on the Canterbury cathedral and the radarstation at Dover. Gilly and Kav blew the cathedral to gravel, and the fighters really did a great job om the spits and hurrys...

Let's develop this guys!

I had a great time, managed to get a couple of the HE-111s and a 109.

Canterbury Cathedral was a burning wreck at the end of the game.

1-0 to the Germans...

Top fun! Best laugh I've had in ages!
I think with a little more refinement these type of things cod be a really great alternative to the current online missions. The idea of seperating the opposing forces and then 'meeting' up in the target area worked really well.
Cheers to all involved for a top laugh

I have a suggestion for next time, do it in Dogfight mode.

This would give us the chance to lock onto friendlys to keep together more and would also mean that you'd have to choose your targets so it would add a bit of confusion, more realistic.

Other than that I thought it was a great way to play

Any thoughts?

Agreed flying formations in dogfight is a damn sight easier than any of the team games
The only potential probelm there is interlopers refusing to play by the rules....
Fill the room quick you shouldn't have any probelms

What we did was set up a private room, more slots than we have players (just in case) and then we dont have to worry about strays.

For mass formation etc and "realism" dogfights was preffered as you didnt have the big "red/blue" bands around the fuselage and wings.

Only issue was the AI gunners on bombers etc. Easy enough to deal with though, just find yourself some free space away from anyone and then dispose of all your ammo (make sure limited ammo is on).

Hey presto you got some great flying coming up.

Only problem with this is bomber auto-gunners will shoot each other both friendly and enemy!!!!
