A good news for all of you!
Instinct wrote in a dms thread about seeing mp version 1.17.5, that the work on the vanilla patch is going on. But by now no more infos available about content and release.

I found this, first result on google

Its true, its coming within the year, at least. I wonder though, if this will just be another non-official patch.
