a) Maybe it's because, ...I don't know. They use a different physx path or something. Is there a console command to see, if hardware physx is working and why?
b) Or maybe it's because I didn't actually install it on the box I'm playing it on?
c) Or, maybe the nvidia-hardware-physx is working but because of the "advanced physx" from the patch (which were not in the demo?) one 8800GTX isn't enough any longer?
Just some random thoughts...
I could check if it's "b)", if someone can tell me how to install this game on Win7x64
