Theoretically, you can acquire Trap level III in just 1 fight:
- Skip the training. - Kite yourself to a decent level (you need a LOT of mana). - Get and learn Trap and Phantom. - Get 5 Inquisitors. - Start a fight and kill off all enemies save one. - Trap and kill you own stacks. - Resurrect your stacks, and phantom to get extra resurrecting capability. You need a LOT of mana: - To kill 100 stacks you'll need 100 traps, that's 500 mana, - 5 enemy stacks and 5 Inquisitor stacks times 2 makes 15 kills, so you need 85 phantoms times 15 mana is 1.275 mana. So there you have it: with only a measly 1.775 mana you can get to Trap level III in just one fight. Last edited by Petwin; 03-01-2010 at 09:11 AM. |

Summons don't count.

The summoned Inquisitor is not used to walk into a trap. It it used to ressurect one of your unfortunate original Inquisitor that just walked into a trap and died - that is it is ressurected only to walk into a new trap and die - what a wonderful life

Is that for your summons only, or enemy summons as well?
An easy way, if enemy summons do count, would be to leave one Royal Thorn alive in a battle. Every few rounds he will summon a stack - If that stack was a Warrior Thorn, you could easily kill them with a level 1 Trap. |

As TemjinGold alrealy said: summons don't count. Period. No friendly summons, no enemy summons.
But now I wonder: is a (friendly or enemy) stack of skeletons that emerges from a coffin on the battlefield summoned? |

Ok in my current mage impossible game I reached trap medal level 3; no clue how many fights it took
yea I know I should already have the no-loss medal up to III but I had a lot of 1 death fights I didn't feel like redoing. I suck. Hum. I guess it gets hard now. Hum. No clue why but it hasn't gotten difficult (at level 24 now). Bit surprise that upping the medals a little made this big of a difference (previous mage on impossible game petered out at level 17; only slight different in medals - mostly 2's where this mage has 3s). Not sure if it is the medals or critters that loaded (this game has a tons of royal griffons AND demon(whatever that can summon demons) in Verona. Last game had crappy critter load - so either medals are everything or more likely the combination of the two. Of course I'm not trying for no-loss. Last edited by jake21; 03-08-2010 at 03:03 PM. |

It's funny, I just played an impossible mage game where I found 2 versions of the trap artifact, one in debir and one in rusty. I got trapping III by the 25th fight or so, and higher magic around level 8. So at level 8 I could open each fight with 7 traps on the board.
