i'm in the same boat as trk29 lately. i'm really sorry guys, but life has taken priority lately. work is insanely busy, not to mention a load of plans outside of work. i'm slightly worried that i won't offer much of a contribution to this tournament. i simply don't have the time.

hopefully things turn around and i'll be able to join you in the skies.

Thanks for all those who participated this Inauguration Week. Thanks for helping me celebrate my B-day, even though, I cant think of a worst scenario to put my self (P-51s vs BF109s, with P51s outnumbered lol). Any how, it was great fun.

Alright guys, well this week is almost over. So far it seems like UK will win the Air Superiority Mission over Sicily, but the USSR will capture its territory (unless a miracle happens lol)

Good Games, please post any problems that you think need attention.

Problems noticed: CTA matches need to be played on 2 airfields. UK players need to login in more often

I doubt I speak for others, but personally I'm not having much fun so far with this. I just don't feel the balance is there - the USSR team are obviously all really keen, and really good, and they have LAs.

It gets quite tedious being shot down for the umpteenth time trying to get angles on one by another that flew past you in the opposite direction 2 seconds ago.

Or trying to land my Spitfire at 200 whatever units I have, only to have it spin round and roll onto a wing or tip onto its nose. That is if it doesn't get insta-killed first.

It seems that every single game I've been in ends with double or triple UK deaths to the USSR. It would be fine now and then but wears thin quickly. I did actually come on to retire from the tournament, but don't think I want to go quite that far just yet... But maybe that's why the UK team are somewhat less keen than the USSR...?

(Disclaimer: getting made redundant on Friday probably isn't helping my state of mind towards getting hammered over and over. Sorry)

you guys do have 3 of the semifinalists from the AoA tournament, most of your matches have involved at least 2 of the 3. Your team is loaded with talent, don't give up plz

screenshots pending edal... we played a few more but I don't think it's all gonna be finished by tomorrow, it's already 2am in Europe. 3-day weekend here but idn if they have mlk-day there.

I think some kind of schedule should be agreed on when specific matches will be played to ensure numbers turn up. atm, the USSR just sits around waiting for 2/3 UK players to turn up.

I feel your pain buddy, I'm the same.

I haven't played a single game yet for team USSR as I'm so shite my kill/death ratio would let the side down big time, and theres no point playing if your not having fun and spend the entire game just running away from everything, Monty python anyone?.... "run away!"

The really annoying part about it is that there is no consistency, one night last week I actually had fun with Varcus, Olife, Macademic and another french player.

I even managed to get a few kills, and all this with a wafty control setup (turned on another controller so the throttle remapped itself over the top of my rudder, pc joystick setup) so the following night I had high hopes I may have improved slighty combined with a properly setup controller, but when I entered a random team battle game against my fellow USSR teamates I soon came crashing back to earth...both literally and mentally.....14 deaths to 1 kill, only cos someone flew through my stream of bullets as I was fruitlessly wasting ammo trying to hit someone else!!

Hope you get another job soon bud.

Airfield matches should always be played on 2 fields, yes. Otherwise the airfield disappears in a haze of smoke.

What happens if neither side reaches the 200-point goal before the week ends? We're within striking distance in air superiority, but with airfields we just need to run out the clock basically. Since we have been ready for matches most of the time, it wouldn't be right for either mode to work against us by not being completed.

let's complete the missions before starting week 2.

btw we're online at time of this post, if you want to finish this up.
