Reichstag Assault final objective?

Its been a while since i played the campaign so bear with me...

But when you destroy the first lot of defences you get called to your friendlies that are flashing yellow. The objective here is to defend them or just assist, so basically shoot down as many of the enemy fighters as you can to get the objective done and then carry on with the reichstag assault. You'll soon get it
