How can you tell which version you have and what updates are needed?

After you have installed IL2 1946 start the game and the splash/load screen shows the version v407m

You then patch to v408m and recheck its loaded the same way as above.

Then v409m

The free updates/patches, are at your discretion to download and install, for online (via Hyperlobby) you will need a compatible and current version.
