Why do we need the patch?

Gentlemen,
As you can see I am brand new member to this forum, but please allow me to vent my own frustrations on the game. None of this will be new to you veterans, but please allow a man to vent. I greatly anticipated this title because I saw it as finally bringing an accurate, beautiful simulator to a high-performance, multiplayer accessible medium. What do I get? No German cockpits... NO GERMAN COCKPITS!!! I am an American and the P-51 is one of the worst planes in the game. ONE OF THE WORST!!! I go online and can only find a game once every 3 days... ONCE EVERY 3 DAYS!!! So basically once a week I waste time finally finding a simulator dogfight and watch as every plane in the Soviet arsenal out turns, out guns, out climbs, and out dives my country's beloved Mustang, and the EPIC models of the Spitfire... Oh and it makes sense that there aren't ever any German planes, right?
