Thumbs up 'I Flew for the Fuhrer' movie

Very impressive movie biltongbru. When I read Heinz Knoke's book "I Flew for the Fuhrer' I was very impressed by his writing, describing what happened from a German pilot's point of view, very openly and frankly.
He was a warrior, fighting for Germany at a desperate time. The English Battle of Britain pilots were doing just the same thing, desperately defending England during the Battle of Britain - 'War is really Hell' with the politicians pushing their young fighting men into battle, no matter what side they are on.

I have provided a link to my my 42 mission campaign on Mission4Today, 'I Flew for the Fuhrer' which faithfully follows Heinz Knoke's memoirs. To date I have had over 6,000 downloads. The campaign is crafted in version 4.08, though I am sure it would work ok in version 4.09 - let me know if you are having any problems.

Thanks for the link! I will definitely get it downloaded and try it out!

Are you aware of the "Heinz Knoke website" by Franck Ruffino? It has super detail of all his victories but the main site got unavailable: the victories part is still available:

http://franckruffino.chez.com/My-Site/The_victories.htm

You can click on any victory link and it opens a page of the research results of that event...very comprehensive.

Thumbs up

Es ist mir noch nie passiert, dass ich beim Ansehen eines Filmes aus der Community eine Gänsehaut bekommen habe. Bei diesem Film war es soweit.

Absolutely stunning! Thank you very much for sharing!

Great movies!
Book must be good, detailed description of the action.

Dropping bombs on bomber formation is totally new for me!
Was it with time detonator?

Wow, a technical tour de force, I've no idea how you made that, and it looks great.

One small criticism: the voice over. Yes, it's lovely clear diction, yes it's an accent, yes the correct linguistic idosyncracies are used. How ever, the guy sounds like "cozy uncle Otto about to read bed time stories", a kind of Christmas Arnie.

He just doesn't sound like a 23 year old blood thirsty killer, or even a 70 year old remembering what it was like to be a 23 year old killer.

But that's just me

A fantastic film.
