Awesome, they're fantastic planes. I hope to go to an airshow where it'll be flying at some point next year.

Yeah he was on standby for the Falklands, but never flew out there.

However, my brother's god-father flew chinooks at the time and was co-pilot taking a special forces team through the mountains at low altitude. But because there's no visual reference for scale, they all just watched this mountain in front of them getting closer. Then they flew straight into it as they had no idea how close it was.

The pilot was killed and my dad's friend was seriously injured, including losing a leg. The only reason they survived is because the guys in the back were obviously trained in surviving in extreme conditions.

It was harsh at the time, but he can laugh about it now. We were in Cyprus recently for my bro's wedding, and we joked he could put tomato ketchup on his stump and come hopping out of the sea yelling "shark!". But then we thought that permanently traumatising little children for lols probably wasn't a great idea

If you want a plane with a gun, you should check out the A-10, that thing means business.

Well there's Cyprus the Island, Cyprus Hill the band, Cyprus trees, and somewhere in BC called Cyprus.

@ Roboslob: Dude, what are you doing with my backyard gatling gun? Also, where did you get the keys to my Bug! Are you trying to get me arrested by the CIA. I was trying to ship that over to Russia, so we Soviet's could take it and of course make it 10x better.
