No, its not easier...
But the number of targets you have to destroy is reduced now.
So you can unlock the weapon sets faster.
You can try your luck and hit targets that have been already damaged by bombers or you can destroy targets in suicide runs.
If you crash your plane, lets say a P51, into a target you take around 3-4 tickets. Not much, but much more than with rockets
Just set up games with a 300 ticket counter, 20 min. time limit and pray that no one with a B17 joins and ends the game before you had the chance to take out a target
