yup tried it, but i dont think it works... not 100% sure tho
i got up to about 7500m and landed quite a few rounds and nothing happened, then the guy i was playing against in 1 on 1 left after my 4th or 5th pass... cant really blame him... thought i sent a psn msg saying what i was going to do but think i might have sent it to the wrong guy

edit it worked i prefured it as it was though
it seems hitler made it in dominating the world thus came the apocalypse

it's bloody simple. fly straight up into the sun all guns blazing, it took me 7 reloads in a Spitfire to pull it off. i flew on 30thousand feet and you dont know what happens. try it.

Just keep a straight course and keep shooting. It takes a while but at about 10,000 feet for me it happened....

Anyone who does it in MP is a damn cheater, since it makes targets much easier to see.

I think someone may have been doing that yesterday, they were flying an IL-2 and I looked away for 20 seconds and it had vanished... just plain vanished. I looked for it all the way to 5000m, but there's no way a stormovik could have climbed that fast. It was still on the map, but I couldn't see its fat ass high or low.

Either this thing also involves disappearing to other players, or there's an entirely separate "disappear" glitch.

The first time I tried this, I flew all the way from Britain to France and it didn't work. So I figured, what the hell, I'll go land in France. And to add insult to injury, the French wouldn't let me. Every time I tried to fly into France, I was respawned heading back to England.

But when it worked, the first thing I noticed was the two bombers I had been ignoring, and got a nice screenshot of shooting one down.
