I'm up for it, but might be worth checking out the numbers first, no point in doing it if only 4 or so of us will be wanting to do it.
I meet virtual no-one playing sim nowadays online too, even on realistic most people quit as soon as they notice its anything harder than arcade. |

cI fly in all modes on the 360 so it doesn't bother me.
The main reason that folks avoid simulator is that certain aircraft do not perform as they should do. I just avoid those aircraft, though in a historically equiped sides match, this might prove a major problem. For instance how would players flying P-51 fighters cope against Bf-109s in simulator or realistic modes as the P-51s are seriously "nobbled" right from the start. I'm becoming pretty good at not crashing the Fw-190 and have managed to figure how to exploit its foilbles and handling quirks advantages in realsitic and simulator modes. I did the same with a certain stubby little US Navy fighter (that Foz1983 hates me mentioning) in BSP. In arcade mode, the Fw-190 is pretty easy meat, but in realistic mode, it has quite a few advantages with the very sharp handling responses. Quite a few aircraft are far better in realsitic and simulator than what they are in arcade.... and some aren't. With simulator mode, those without AV8TR joysticks are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to looking around for targets. (A huge advantage when it comes to landing though!!) If the games are run in realistic mode, to cancel out the spotting advantage of trick joysticks and with limited ammo so that players disengage from the fight once depleted, etc. it might prove interesting. Bombing missons, such as hitting certain targets inland, such as the airfields on the BoB map or the factories on the Stalingrad map, etc. would be easily marked with successful hits by the plumes of smoke that bombs cause. We have run such missions in all modes before in made up missions. Count me in. Last edited by Panzergranate; 11-11-2009 at 04:55 AM. |

Totally. I hardly see anyone playing either. I honestly think a lot of players would come back if/when the patch was released and we got some German cockpits but that's for another forum post. There's also been a bunch of releases that have taken people away (I've been pretty deep into Flashpoint). Anyway, if people keep responding to it I will try and get it organized. It won't be anything like assigning people to fly and having to make the match, it'll just be like people joining the official match, playing it, then recording the stats. Anyone not signed up with the "war" would be kicked, etc. As stated, broken planes will be avoided (unless you really want to fly them). |

I'm not really flying atm, but if there's organized matches it would be perfect. Just log in, and play
