Possible reasons I can think of not adding MP:

Perhaps, as a guess, Red Tide is supposed to be completely historical.
Perhaps, moderation of a second MoW multiplayer will be difficult.
Problems adding multiplayer

The main reason I think is is because it is Men of War: Red Tide
In Men of War, there are sides such as Germany vs Russia. It wouldn't really be a Red Tide if you could play as the Germans. Plus landing missions seem difficult to create for a MP game.

I can see a few reasons why MP isn't added, but why is there no editor?

Maybe if you dont set a MP you can add the coop part ?
In my opinion Red Tide missions are greater and more interessting than MOW missions, i would like to play them with my teamates. We are fans !

If you use the same game engine i think you can do it easily ?

I think it is fine as a SP only release. Future work on the project should be focusing on fixing bugs and balancing the game. But that's just my opinion.

It might be simple to add in multiplayer and co-op but there is already another MoW expansion in development which will be focusing on co-op and MP. People often forget this.
If Red Tide had everything the old MoW had, then people would be unable to play both games, because well, what would be the point?

If Red Tide also had MP then the majority of the people who are currently playing the original MP (those who have bought Red Tide) would probably move on to that. Which could lower the # of people around to play the original, which would eventually result in the game dying.
No point in splitting the community in two.

I can see the attraction to MP/Co-op in these games, but remember we already have 1 game that does both, and another one coming..Is one SP-only title really so bad?
Though i will admit i wouldn't say no to a patch/update which allows co-op play, that's always a blast.

Um, heres a idea!

MoW mod based on Red Tide, adding vehicles, units, guns, romanians and other things.
Hard work but it would help solve our no MP problem.

Yes that would be a solution - Then there would also be a bigger selection of sides to play.

But as you say, hard work, and alot of people are still playing the original, so we may have to wait a bit.
I've heard that another dynamic campaign generator is being made, for red tide, so that should atleast keep us busy while we wait.

We will probably see Heroes Badge before a MP/Co-op mod for Red Tide...But i'd happily be proven wrong.
