yes, Foz. My specialty are Tanks indeed. I like to Become a Gunner on a Leo2 in the German Heer (German tank army) next year.
I came to this forum due to the game. i really like it and i wanted to know people who do too.

About the German, err, Sherman

The Official Document, Written in 1943 During the Heat of Battle of Africa, German Soldiers or the DAK ( Deutsche Afrika Korps) captured a number of freshly arrived American Made Shermans who were send to the Englsh under the Lend Lease Act And The Germans field Tested the Sherman and gatherd information on how to stop it and what armor thickness it had and stuff like that. Suprissingly; The Germans were really inpressed on how fast the Sherman was and how reliable the Engine was. ( GVAAV8 )

It was Fast and they tested it out and came to to the conclusion that Sherman's were allowed to be captured and used as an armored vehicle but not a Tank it self. Most Shermans were converted into Recovery vehicle's and Bulldozers. Reson for that was the lack of Armor and tiny Main Gun.

The only exception for the Sherman was the Brittish Firefly. But that was shot and destroyed inmediatly when sighted. ( that can knock out a Panther/Tiger/ and even King Tiger) that was also the reason why so few Firefly's survied Normandy due to German Armor, Anti Tank Guns and the Fact that they're were only 400 made?

a bigger gun doesn't mean a better tank.

The Germans called the Shermans ''TommieCooker'' and ''Ronson'' after the famous lighter brand Beacuse they allway's light' the First time

A tank specialist? That's interesting, I think I'll check out the link. I always like coming to forums where people know a lot about something, you learn so much. Like I'm sure none of us have to worry about a lack of Soviet plane facts anymore either.
