I think maybe you should post the actual VERSION you are playing right now. When you start the game, while it is loading, you will see the version number in the lower left corner.

The actual version which replaces all before is 4.09m final.
It is obtainable by installing il2-1946 and the patches 4.08 and 4.09. The IL2-1946 DVD, which is version 4.71m, is for sale at about 3$ to 10$ in stores around the world.(There might be regions where it is more expensive)
