I know what you are saying tudorp. But it is not always the best/only strategy to play strike.
For example, when I fly with seraph and he takes a b-17, and out opponents also have a B-17, I will normally not go and protect him, but will go out and take down their B-17 non stop. Easy example: B17 + La-7 vs B-17 + la7 1) if I hang around our b-17, there will be no one bothering their B-17 2) ^^ due to this, their B-17 will 100% sure score full tickets 3) If the enemy La-7 does not go dogfight with me when attacking our B-17, he will get at least a few seconds to shoot at our B-17 (for example at the first head-on pass). If this continues during a whole game, our B-17 is bound to crash one time. In this case this will cause us to lose, becuase their B-17 has been scoring the whole time. BUT, if Im positive that I will be able to take out their B-17 every time before it reaches our targets, It is only up to our B-17 to stay alive for one bombing run. Since you normally have enough time to take down the enemy bombers before they reach target, I find this a safer option. so normally, no, i will not protect my bombers (unless they ask me to), I will go hunt theirs. Focussing purly on their heavyist bomber. This 'tactic' has not let me and seraph down so far ![]() If you are flying fighter and are not able to take down bombers quickly, then by all means defend your bombers and take down their fighters! But if can take down a B-17 in less then 10 seconds, plz do that |
