chasing ghosts ??

I had this problem all the time doing the campaign on simulator on PS3...

According to the map there is a massive dogfight all around me, but back in the plane it's just me myself and I. It was usually just down to the planes all being in that middle range of invisibility between the black dot helpers and in your face. They could of course also be above or below.

But if it's happening on realistic too, that's strange, unless you've somehow disabled the red boxes via HUD settings?
