I got a little gripe, even though it may, or may not be legitimate.

I had the P-47 before from the pre-order perk. But, I got the new download anyway, just for the SP missions. Even though the P-47 isn't the best and most nimble bird out there, it was (for me at least) fun to fly, and has always been one of my favorite WWII warbirds. I loved to use it as a dive bomber, which it did very well, even though I had to wrestle it back up out of a dive like a mad fat chic. But, I loved it..

BUT.. It seems, (it may be my imagination though) the P-47 doesn't fly as well as it did now that I downloaded the package. It seemed to fly better when I had it with the pre order. In the download, did it change some charictoristic files for the P-47? Or is it my imagination?

And to the guy that can't seem to get any speed from it, I get over 400mph from the P-47 in level flight on a regular basis. That is respectible...

The TA-152 is a joke, the 3 "cannons" are like shooting a .22 at an enemy plane.

The P-47 is definatly not my cup of tea, but I never expected it to be.

At least I have some new missions to play.

the ta-152 was meant to be a high-altitude bomber-interceptor, so if you try to dogfight at low altitude and get shot down, it's your own fault. IMO they gave the ta and fw series full fuel tanks like the p-51d, so its possible that they could be fixed with a patch.

I was attacking a Blenheim in training with the 152, the cannon had very little affect.

I did the same thing with the P-47 and got it down with one quick pass.

Is that after a dive? Arcade, realistic, sim? What altitude? You sure you're using MPH and not KPH? I have to dive to get that bucket above 3 bills - which is flat out wrong. I think the flight model is AFU. They should add that to the list of shit to fix. Did they accidentally copy that over with all fuel tanks full?

I'd love to fly a P-47 that was respectably represented, but it seems like all its got going for it in game is durability and firepower (of course, what good is the firepower if your target is always behind you?).

Didn't the Ta-152, actually have a Jumo 213E bomber engine in it? Think I read that somewhere in a book? Maybe on a show?

I took it out just to see what it would do a couple times when I first downloaded it a couple weeks ago, and that was on a straight level flight, not after a dive. That was however if full WEP though. As far as mode, I have not taken that out in SIM at all yet, but do fly regularly in both Archade, and Realistic (preferably realistic). I can't remember what I was in when I was clocking it though, but it was probably realistic since that is what I try to fly mostly in. I have had the game set in MPH since day one.. I will take it out next time I log on to do a better speed check. I was just playing around with it when I checked the first time. It was fast though, outrunning most other fighters that got the six on me. That is when I started doing a hit and run approach with it. I dove on the enemy, shot, then turn tail and hauled butt out and set up for another attack... I suck at targeting dogfights, so I don't want to blame the bird quite yet. But, I think with a good dog fighting pilot, using the hit and run tactic, should be able to do pretty fair with it..
