I did...
 Funny thing is that some items can be used to get spells/items... Like the body part bag you get from Zombie Noric. And there are some class-specific events too. For example after bonding with the Turtle, my Mage could write down two spells into scrolls - that didn't happen with my Paladin. Also, if you play as a Paladin, Furious Paladin will sell better stuff to you (got the Silver Sword from him).

maybe the ancient coins would be nice to bring to the old museum or something they must have a purpose than only gold i suppose
