I'm always cockpit as well, as long as I'm flying planes that have them. I find the actual reticle helps with my accuracy (which sucks anyway).

I like virtual cockpit the best, but find myself switching between all three(or two in some planes) because I think different views work better in different situations.

I always fly cockpit, I dont think its the most efficient view for combat (restricted view, oil on windscreen etc.) but its deffinitely the one I enjoy using the most.

Always cockpit for me too, it's far more immersive and looks cool when your pulling hard on the stick and can see the trail from the wing tips!

Actually, I would recommend map-view......until more realism controls are given.
