Terrain looks quite good in this vid.
Water still too dark, waves too big.

Read up on the interview published about a year ago where a German (I believe) journo was given a preview of the game in Moscow.
One of the programmers demonstrated the individual bullet tracking on a Stuka.

Do you even know ANYTHING about this game!!?

Actually - tracking EVERY bullet fired from even one Spifire is going to be a major achievement, so there is probably some 'cleverness' going on to make it all manageable - but something along those lines was demoed in the report.

S!

Graphics = nice. Effects = nice. AI = hmmm? And most striking..the damned flap thingy on the Sissyfire. 2-position flaps used in combat? Can we now in 2011 get rid of that? Flaps were for landing, had restricted speeds and moved not so fast. I hope the "flap fights" are part of past in IL-2:Cliffs. Otherwise nice video of what we will get soon.

it looked like "luthier" was just showing the guy the flaps and landing gear... I dont really think he was doing for combat purposes.

I swear some of you guys take things way too seriously.

Learn to read, FFS. And if you honestly believe you are going to see dynamic damage and hundreds of accurately placed miniscule bulletholes on a Stuka -- I have some awesome oceanfront property in Fukushima you might be interested in

Note, I'm NOT shitting on the game - on the contrary, just being real. BTW, Maddox stated a while back during a Q&A that damage granularity though improved will be nowhere near realistic. It's just too expensive for now.
