I can actually run it fine since I last tried at about 20 fps in combat and up to 40 fps over the water with my Quad-Core and GTX 550Ti. Which was actually better performance than some people using Windows 7 and the latest hardware.

I had lots of crashes when using XP. For example I could NEVER finish viewing the famous Black <something> track that people use for testing performance. Switching to a computer that can use 8 Gigs of memory removed that and many other crashes.
