is the game dx9 ready?

well i have installed xp which only runs dx9

so is the game dx9 compatible NOW? it wasnt before since i installed and erased vista to play this game in dx10

Well this beta is largely about testing Dx9 ..so try it out and help the devs help you.

The biggest improvement to game stability I got by upgrading from XP to Win7. This game needs more memory to run well, so I don't think XP & DX9 is going to run well.

I can actually run it fine since I last tried at about 20 fps in combat and up to 40 fps over the water with my Quad-Core and GTX 550Ti. Which was actually better performance than some people using Windows 7 and the latest hardware.

I had lots of crashes when using XP. For example I could NEVER finish viewing the famous Black <something> track that people use for testing performance. Switching to a computer that can use 8 Gigs of memory removed that and many other crashes.

If you are still using XP you are doing it wrong, especially if you have the graphical horsepower to lift a game of this level.
