I think the Steam deal was done because the Dev's knew how bad the release would be, if it had been released soley in the shops half of them would of been returned by now with refunds given, the fact you cannot get a refund through steam was a very clever move and has kept the cash in Olegs pocket. Obviously not so good for us, Ive never had any problems with any game through steam before but CLOD disconnects frequently, obviously bad coding again rather than Steam.

What a load of clap trap.

For a start you can get refunds from Steam, at least in the EU as they are regulated by the Distance Selling Directive. You have 7 days to return them, you don't even need a reason.

The rest of what you are sayings is pure BS. Steam is just a great way to get your product to millions of prospective customers.

This is pretty hilarious because I actually did return CloD on steam. I had it pre-ordered but then when they kept pushing back the NA release I just got a refund then ordered it from Justflight.

Besides which, most physical copies of games (software in general really) are impossible to return after the package has been opened.

You can only cancel a pre-order. (In the US atleast).
