I loose about 10 FPS since turning on steam cloud, does it have to stay turned or once its sync'd and replaced those files can you turn it off again.

I have never even bothered disable cloud, how it can be so much fps hit?.

I'll think i'll try it too after this hotfix.

The only thing that Steam Cloud does is, WHEN YOU LOAD AND/OR EXIT THE GAME it synchronizes your files with the files on the cloud (basically confuser.ini, it's like a backup of your files on the cloud), so it's impossible that your performance is worse with it enabled.

There's another option called "Enable Steam community while in game" or something like that that enables the steam layout when you are ingame. This option MAY use some extra resources (although I don't think so).

If they dont change the version number, another test would be:
fly the 109, and look at the radiator rods in the wings. If they are out when the radiator is fully closed, then you have the hotfix applied.

that or what kankkis said, whatever you know better

As you were!

I'm now certain that the lastest patch 1.01.14550 has made the stuttering worse - it was good under "medium" settings with the previous patch - now the stuttering is very evident on "medium" settings.

I'm also now getting teh graphic glitches on land and sea (junks of water on land, and land on water, that appear and then disappear).

Sorry, but I believe we've gone backwards with the latest patch.

I must say ... I'm still unbelievably impressed with this sim - I'm confident it will soon be running well. The attention to detail etc is mind-blowing - it's the playability that now needs attention.

It seems to me this future doesn't work right crowds I mean. So if you turn it off it will keep you from any mistakes in ini files. I think it will be work properly in a time .
